: You are obviously doing very well. Your hair is definitely in the "awkward stage" as mine is beginning to become. Don't hesitate to use hair spray and oil to keep it under control.
---

I was on the jurne a couple of ears ago and I made everthing wrong (gel, hot iron, hair spry etc.), but now I am read to be a longhair. Now I observe all the interesting things my hair does sometimes.

---
: When I used to "buzz" cut my hair, I had no parting at all. When it grew from very short to short, my left parting would return and seem to be the most natural way for me. It is still on the left at present. I might adopt a centre parting later. On the other hand, asymmetry is quite charming.
---

A perfect symetric centrepart has to be forced because of my widow's peak.

---
: I know a (female) long-haired music teacher and she has a side parting (usual "girl's side" to the right). She makes a beautiful bun with her hands in just a few seconds and holds it all in place just by shoving a pencil through it at just the right place. She always winds it in the direction of the hair to the left of her right-side parting. That might be more limiting with a central parting.

: You might be interested in "fancy" buns for certain occasions as an alternative to free hair of the ponytail. Perhaps...
---

From my point of view there is nothing wrong to have a different hairdo for different occasions as a guy.
Who is that all knowing person who defines that whole "guy's style/girl's style" sort of things?!

---
: When you and I get all our hair to ponytail length, we will be able to style our hair with a parting anywhere we want or pull it back from the forehead with no parting. You will need to see what is best for your hair, which is much more wavy than mine.

: I have the impression that even when you get to ponytail length, you should not pull it back too tightly, because you have some lovely waves on the top of you head, where mine is simply straight.

: You need to experiment with different styles as you hair grows, and I look forward to seeing more photos as time goes by.

I look forward to the day when I can call myself a longhair, parting my hair where ever I want and beeing able to see my natural hair texture.

Thank your for your kind words and I look forward to your uptates as well and I realy like gray hair (it looks good and is interesting from the scientific point of view too).

Good luck with your "awkward-stage" time.

-Christian
