The main reason was pressure from my parents to do so- I'm 20 but still live with them(although I go to university for about half the year). I wish I didn't cut it, but I intend to grow it back whenever I move out. I'm really sad because I put in three years of hard work into growing it out, but alas I had to let it go. On the bright side I did almost reach my goal of classic length before I cut it off. My hope is that very soon I can start growing it out again, and this time stick it out all the way till it's at classic length- the ultimate goal is to my knees after that. I have to say I do like my look with short hair, but it doesn't hold a candle to the joy I felt when my hair was long. I guess I will have to wait the three years now, for it to come back :( Crazy to think I'll be 23 at that point!

: I want to say I really appreciate everyone's support on the hyperboard, without y'all I probably would have never had the courage to even grow it out in the first place. I will continue posting on here as I grow out my hair again. Y'all are the best- thank you so much.

Let me put it this way: I'm 67 and still have long hair. At the age of 20 hopefully you'll have plenty of time to grow your hair. You're not the first one I know whose parents insisted they cut their hair and you won't be the last. Ultimaately when you live on your own you'll be able to wear your hair the way you want. It's really a shame that your parents made you chop off such great hair. But it is what it is.
