I am sorry and sad to read your post. My sincere thoughts and emotions are with you.
I have experienced this kind of devastating loss in my life more than once - it is the worst to realize that someone you care about has chosen to take their life - and that somehow we could not help them at this point of need in their lives. All those affected go much further than I am sure the person, your friend, could have realized or comprehended at the time.
